An online learning platform connecting parents, teachers, and students with a more adaptable learning experience.

Context

SmartHouse is an Olympus Tech product in development, designed to connect classroom concepts to real-world applications, with planned expansion into tertiary-level education.

Contribution

  • Designed and built the admin portal for user management, content organization, and platform oversight.
  • Built backend services and data contracts connecting admin, parent, and teacher-facing applications.
  • Validated workflows, investigated integration issues, and contributed to release-readiness work.

An AI-powered conferencing product shaped around conversational context, meeting workflows, and useful summaries.

Context

During the HNG internship, I contributed across backend services, API endpoints, dashboards, landing pages, and the integration work connecting product features.

Contribution

  • Worked on conversational context, call summaries, meeting workflows, organization members, and tool usage.
  • Contributed to API consumption, implementation review, feature validation, and debugging.

03Engineering approach

How I think about building systems.

The same sequence applies whether the work is a new service, an integration, or a feature inside an existing product.

  1. 01

    Understand

    Translate requirements into system boundaries, data flows, interfaces, and implementation decisions before writing code.

  2. 02

    Build

    Design backend services, APIs, databases, integrations, and product interfaces around actual system behaviour.

  3. 03

    Validate

    Test workflows, integrations, edge cases, and delivery rather than treating “code runs” as the definition of finished.

The goal is not technical complexity for its own sake. It is maintainable software, reliable integrations, clearer workflows, and releases that have been properly validated.

How I got here, and what I care about.

I have always been fascinated by computers and how systems work. I began through web development and moved steadily deeper into programming and software engineering, with a growing focus on Python, backend systems, APIs, databases, and automation.

I moved from personal and freelance work into professional engineering, eventually co-founding Olympus Tech, where I work across backend systems, full-stack products, integrations, QA, architecture, code review, and mentorship.

Outside of professional work, I enjoy expanding my technical range to bring more value to my clients, spending time with family, occasionally tinkering with game development, and taking an evening stroll.
